Rufus Wainwright

Been listening to him non stop on this tour. Seems to be going well with my mood, whatever that i?.
I'm diggin'(Carey will give me a row for using such language. Quite right!) his lyrics at the moment. It's a strange thing being on 'tour' you know. You find yourself having text only relationship's with people from your real life. So what I'm really trying to say is 'my phone's on vibrate for you'.

night night

I'm totally with you on the Rufus `thing`.

I don't want to make it rain
I just want to make it simple
I don't want to see the light
I just want to see the flashlight
I don't want to know the answers
To any of your questions
I don't want, no I really don't want
To be John Lennon or Leonard Cohen
I just want to be my Dad
With a slight sprinkling of my mother
And work at the family store
And take orders from the counter
I don't want to know the answers
To any of your questions
I don't want, no I really don't want
To be John Lithgow or Jane Curtain
But I'll settle for love
Yeah, I'll settle for love

Catch you in Manchester.

Tony

Tracyanne, you should check out Rufus Wainwright singing Careless Whisper by George Michael together with Ben Folds!!! It's quite cute! ;)
Hugs from Stuttgart (no I am not the weird person who said that we'd meet some day when you are old enough - how strange was that anyway???)

When you pass most of your life in an hotel, leaving a city and getting into another city, another hotel, another city, etc... you discover that your only friend is your computer and all the songs your listen to, reminding you you're not the only one is this world who feels alone. "I hope it's not as long as a country mile.. I feel lost"...
I hope to see you again in Madrid ASAP, (if you go in a friday night or saturday night, otherwise I can be wherever within Spain)

Haven't heard Rufus' records yet, but I did listened to Martha Wainright's self titled album and it's excellent, plus that song BMFA is just outstanding.
Greetings from Buenos Aires,
good luck!

I was stock, while i was writing a new short story for my blog. Then, "Books written for girls" started sounding on my Radio Blog Club´s playlist, and I just started writing... I remember the feeling:

Soft, Free, Eternal...

Just how I use to walk in Buenos Aires (I lived there for 2 years while I was studying in the University).

Thank you for sounding in my soul and helping me to write a new story: "Eco"

You are welcome to come and read. My blog is in spanish.

A hug from Ecuador.

Silver threads and golden needles can't mend loneliness, truly. But allow me to digress. With regards to the text issue, yes, I wholely agree that it alienates those we care for in the flesh into mere digital words flashed out on our mobile. Vibrations can't bring much pleasure this way.

Traceyanne and Carey, I am ready to be heartbroken. Keep doing good music. :)
